Dr. Erin Burrell​

Erin Burrell is a psychiatrist with a practice focused on psychotherapy and collaborative care for adults. Her personal wellbeing and professional practice are supported by mindfulness, and she delivers of a number of mindfulness-based interventions for patients. She has also published competencies for psychiatry residents training in mindfulness. She is a clinical instructor with the UBC Faculty of Medicine, and teaches courses in interpersonal psychotherapy and group psychotherapy. She co-founded a self-management skills training program for patients in primary care in Victoria that is based on principles of CBT and mindfulness, and she now supports spread of this program to new communities, including Vancouver, where she now lives. She also works at the Burnaby Mental Health Centre, and is a candidate in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
