Drs. Jane and Paul Healy

Jane & Paul Healey are married physicians in their 40's who taught themselves about personal finance by trial and error. In May 2017, they founded the Physician Financial Independence (PFI) online community where physicians from all life stages can learn from each other. It is a space free of industry bias that has grown rapidly to over 15,000 members. The PFI group emphasizes frugality, evidence-based investing, and maximizing happiness.  Physicians who learn how to manage their personal finances improve their autonomy and can steer clear of the burnout epidemic facing Canada's doctors.

Jane is a hospital-based paediatrician and Paul is an emergency physician. They live in Oakville with their two children. Jane & Paul are not in high-billing specialties but are financially independent. They work because they want to, not because they have to.
